It’s Micah, aka tofuboots, here. I am starting this blog/group in hopes to connect with other like minded queers in and around San Anto and south Texas to offer support to one another, share resources, and organize.
I got a lot of responses from people who are interested in organizing and attending letter writing parties for CeCe. I contacted the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center and they pretty much gave me the go ahead to use their space to host this. Now, I just need to pick a date. It will most likely be during the week, M-Th. Any of those days.
With that said, Pride is taking place next weekend and I would like to make and hand out flyers for this event. If anyone wants to help me print/cut leaflets to hand out at Pride let me know and we can figure out a time to meet this week. And if anyone has a printer they would be willing to let us use, that would be even better!
I want to make this a monthly thing, perhaps utilizing local GLBTQ clubs at universities, non-profits, and just local buena gente to host. So, if you know of a club, non-profit, or have a place that you would be willing to host a Free CeCe letter writing party, get at me either here or at SanAntoJoteria@gmail.com.
